Berkeley Construction Inc. is a subchapter S corporation owned by Berkeley and Kelly Orton. Berkeley Orton started his construction company in Heyburn Idaho in 1978. Berkeley initially built homes to sell, then custom home for individuals. Later he started building commercial buildings and agriculture buildings, including pre engineered steel buildings. In 1984 Berkeley built the first “Super Good Cents” Home under the direction of the Idaho Department of Water Resources and the Bonneville Power Administration. Berkeley sat on the contractor board for the State of Idaho to help establish construction techniques for “Good Cents” Program.

In 1986 Berkeley and Kelly moved their business to Fallbrook California where they built custom homes until returning to Idaho in 1993. This gave Berkeley experience in building high-end homes from $500,000 to $1,000,000 in value.
